Yes, we deliver to job sites via flatbed trailers, but you will need to coordinate a method to offload the material.
Rebar bundles are shipped with bar tags that list the number of pieces in each bundle, order number, size, length, grade, and company to help identify the bar.
Yes but with exceptions. Surface rust is acceptable on rebar installations. However, if the rebar becomes so rusty or degraded that it easily flakes off, the weight of the bar is reduced, or the height of the deformations are reduced below the levels required by the ASTM standards, then the rust is considered harmful, and you should utilize new bar.
Yes, there are various types of rebar. Typical rebar types are black steel and epoxy-coated, and specialty types include stainless steel, fiberglass, and galvanized steel. These specialty types are great for extreme conditions where rebar needs high corrosion resistance.
We carry grades 40, 60, and 100, and others may be available upon request.
Fabricated rebar is rebar pre-cut or bent to your exact conditions. At Bolsinger Rebar, we have the resources to deliver fabricated rebar to meet the custom characteristics of your job site.
No. The purpose of the epoxy coating is to increase the bar's corrosion resistance. Cutting, grinding, or welding damages this coating and leaves the bar unprotected.
The corrosion-resistant coating of epoxy-coated rebar makes it 40-50 times more corrosion-resistant than standard black steel rebar.
Stainless steel rebar is much more corrosion-resistant than standard black steel due to its chemical properties, and it is 800-1500 times more corrosion-resistant than standard black steel. However, this corrosion resistance comes with a trade-off of much higher prices. Due to the price, stainless steel rebar is used only in extremely corrosive conditions like marine or chemical environments.
Fiberglass rebar is non-metallic, meaning it does not corrode like the other bar types. However, fiberglass can not be cut, bent, or fabricated on-site and must be ordered directly from the factory in the configuration required.
